These test methods cover establishment of procedures for conducting tests to determine the mechanical properties of externally and internally threaded fasteners, washers, direct tension indicators, and rivets. These test methods shall be as follows: externally threaded fasteners; internally threaded fasteners; washers and direct tension indicators; rivets; test for embrittlement of metallic-coated externally threaded fasteners; and determining decarburization and carburization.
