London UK, September 21, 2015 – Element Materials Technology has appointed George Winning to the newly created position of  Global Corrosion Specialist, supporting the company’s growth and overall business strategy for corrosion testing in all of the sectors it serves. 

George joins Element with a strong international reputation in corrosion, developed over the last twenty years while working for such organizations as Clariant, CAPCIS, Wood Group and more recently, Premier Oil. Beginning his career in the Oil & Gas sector, George moved into corrosion consultancy where he supported corrosion societies around the globe.  He has been supportive of corrosion societies around the globe establishing himself as a core member of the Institute of Corrosion (ICorr) council in the UK. Globally he has been involved with NACE for a number of years being chair of number of committees and is now a director of NACE Institute which sets policy on NACE training programs.
