Since Elements formation we have more than trebled the size of our business growing from a turnover of $100m to $300m, increased the number of our Engaged Experts from 600 to 1,800 and the number of our facilities from 23 to 51.

During that time we have consistently delivered double digit percentage growth, split equally between organic and inorganic growth, at three times the market rate.

Since 2011, we have acquired a number of leading testing companies to strengthen both our technical capability and capacity and also to extend our client coverage and geographic reach, as part of our build and buy business strategy.

These acquisitions include Detroit Testing Laboratory (DTL) a specialist Automotive and Aerospace PQT company in 2011; Mar-Test an Aerospace materials testing business and MERL, a specialist Polymers testing business in 2012 and the Sherry Laboratories materials testing group and Delsen Testing Laboratories a specialist polymers materials testing business in the Aerospace sector in 2013. In 2014 we acquired GEVA, our first Aerospace PQT business in Europe and Accutek Testing, a materials testing business that services both the Aerospace and Medical Device Sector.  More recently we acquired Environ Laboratories and TRaC Global, which together with our capabilities in Florida and Germany makes Element the largest independent provider of PQT services to the Aerospace sector.

We will continue to acquire other laboratories based on sector, capability, reach and client fit as part of our successful "build and buy" business strategy
