Any product testing program that requires humidity testing may benefit from HAST, which can be completed in days instead of weeks. By elevating temperatures above 100°C and increasing pressure, experts in our HAST labs can achieve environmental simulation of longer duration humidity tests while observing the same failure mechanisms.
HAST can also help determine reliability of non-hermetic, packaged and solid-state devices in humid environments. Along with the temperature and humidity conditions, a bias (DC voltage - continuous or cycled) can accelerate the penetration of moisture.
