With 30 years of EMC experience, Greg Kiemel has been instrumental in the development of wireless testing, product certification and global approvals services at Element.

Greg is an iNARTE-certified EMC and ESD engineer, Master EMC Design Engineer, as well as a certified Wireless Device Certification Professional. He is active in ANSI ASC C63, and served as Chair of the TCB Council. Greg is a Senior Member of the IEEE, completing a two-year term as a Distinguished Lecturer.

Wireless Testing and Compliance Experience

During Greg’s career, he has performed testing to many domestic and international EMC standards for radio, information technology and medical equipment. In addition to performing testing, Greg has served in consultation to clients, including instructing clients in EMC and product safety design strategies, EMC remediation issues. Greg is an expert in wireless product compliance, having tested and obtained product approvals for some of the first Bluetooth, Home RF, 802.11, RFID, Zigbee, MedRadio and WiMax radios.

Greg has worked closely with the FCC to define testing and certification procedures for co-located radios, including combinations of GSM or LTE, 802.11abgnac, Bluetooth, and RFID.

Greg has represented numerous clients as their agent before the FCC, EU, Industry Canada, ACMA, IDA, OFTA, MIC, RRA, KCC, NCC, BSMI, UL and TUV.
