Do you need to understand basic metal properties in order to better manage your materials, products or quality programs?
This seminar will provide a basic understanding of what metals are, and how chemical composition and microstructure influence mechanical properties. The talk will include an overview of commonly used alloys and material selection principles; some reference materials will be distributed. Although created for a non-technical audience, this seminar may also be of interest to non-metallurgical engineers and technicians working with metals. All are welcome.
