Element has welcomed new apprentices to its Sheffield laboratory to receive a formal induction and meet with key people from the business.

Element has taken on five apprentices to work in engineering support roles and as machinists for projects with customers in the aerospace sector. Working in partnership with Sheffield University and its Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), Element aims to provide careers training for school leavers or people looking for a new career path, while also investing in the company’s future.

Lee Mangham, General Manager at Element, said: “We were really pleased to have our new apprentices at our Sheffield laboratory to discuss Element and our vision for the future. These bright, new recruits are at the beginning of an exciting time in their careers and we’re looking forward to supporting them as they train and grow in their new roles.

“Apprenticeships are an important part of our business plan as they provide job opportunities and skills development, while allowing us to provide thorough technical training with individuals from day one. We have three more apprenticeship opportunities for a March 2019 intake, and we encourage anyone interested in a new career to get in touch.”
