Global Product Approvals ANATEL Brazil: New Labeling Requirements
On March 8, 2016 ANATEL published Resolution No. 662 with changes to the labeling requirement for products.
ANATEL has removed the barcode and EAN number from the label format.
As seen on the image below, the left side reflects the old format, and the right side reflects the new labeling format.
Although it is not mandatory to update labels on products that are currently being commercialized in Brazil, if changes are made to reflect the new label format ANATEL must be notified.
