About Element Atlanta-Gainesville Battery Testing Laboratory
Element Atlanta–Gainesville is a dedicated battery testing laboratory providing accredited safety, performance, cycling, abuse, and regulatory testing for all major lithium, nickel, alkaline, and emerging battery chemistries. Serving automotive, aerospace, medical device, consumer electronics, wearables, and industrial markets, the laboratory helps manufacturers ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of battery-powered products.
With over 2,000 cycling channels, temperature ranges from –70°C to 300°C, high-accuracy current control, humidity and altitude simulation, air-to-air thermal shock, and extensive abuse-test capabilities, the facility supports full battery lifecycle evaluation from early R&D through certification and failure analysis.
As an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, Atlanta–Gainesville performs UN 38.3 transportation testing, IEC 62133-1/-2, UL 2054 and UL 1642 safety testing, and USABC electric vehicle battery performance protocols. The lab also offers X-ray/CT analysis, SEM, mechanical shock and vibration, accelerated rate calorimetry, and comprehensive failure investigation.
