About Element Hamburg Materials Testing Laboratory
Accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and DIN EN ISO 17020, Element Hamburg Materials Testing Laboratory is located in the south of Hamburg, with direct access to the A7 motorway and close proximity to the port and major shipyards, serving local and international markets. Originally established as Germanischer Lloyd Prüflabor GmbH in 2006 as part of Germanischer Lloyd, the laboratory joined Element in 2016, strengthening our European offering.
With a wide range of experts, our laboratory supports customers across the maritime sector, additive manufacturing, as well as the steel production and distribution industries. The strength of the laboratory lies in providing end-to-end solutions for our customers, whether in metallic materials testing, welding technologies, or failure analysis.
