LONDON, UK – November 10, 2015 – Element Materials Technology has further increased its levels of investment at its Aluminum Testing Center of Excellence, located at Element Daleville, to enable it to deliver a market-leading Turnaround Time (TAT) of 25 hours on production volume of samples for both its clients and their supply chain partners.

These latest investments were once again driven by the needs of Element’s clients and further demonstrates its ongoing commitment to delivering best in class operational excellence. This investment significantly increases Element’s capacity through the addition of new testing frames and staff that enables Daleville to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a result Element’s capacity for testing fatigue samples has increased by 80 percent and tensile samples by 100 percent over the past 24 months.

To support the increased capacity of the location, Element Daleville has also extended its already impressive list of client approvals with the addition of a new Boeing special process approval for fracture toughness testing. This latest approval from Boeing adds to the laboratory’s already existing approvals in tensile, corrosion, and fatigue testing of aluminum alloys.

Rick Sluiters, Element’s Executive Vice President, Aerospace, comments: “Element Daleville is now able to deliver significantly improved Turnaround Times for our clients as a direct result of this latest investment. In terms of production volume of samples, our clients measure their turnaround time in hours, not days, so by focusing so closely on our performance to the metrics that matter to them, we remain true to our promise of delivering customer-centric solutions.

“Coupled with the extensive capabilities and Engaged Experts at the location, Element’s Aluminum Center of Technical Excellence is a truly market-leading laboratory. The extension to our approvals for Materials Testing for Element’s partners further demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the Aerospace sector.”

In addition to serving Aerospace sector clients, the Nadcap and A2LA-accredited Element Daleville also conducts alloy specific testing for a range of other industries including Transportation and Oil & Gas.
