LONDON, UK – January 13, 2016 – Exova (now owned by Element Materials Technology), the global testing services provider, has acquired the environmental monitoring division of Resource and Environmental Consultants Ltd (REC).
The business provides stack emissions monitoring, calibration services, ambient monitoring of odour, dust, etc. and workplace monitoring in a range of markets, including pharmaceutical; energy and power generation; waste incineration and food and beverage. Paul Barry, European managing director for Exova said: “Acquiring the environmental monitoring division of REC strengthens Exova’s position as the UK and Ireland market leader in stack emissions testing. It allows us to extend our reach into the industrial heartland of the Midlands, as well as providing greater scale across the north of England and Ireland”. The business, which was established in 1995, supports over 170 customers across the UK and Ireland.
