LONDON, UK – January 15, 2016 – Element Materials Technology has responded to client demand by adding Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) testing services for materials and finishes used within automotive interiors. This latest move means that Element is now able to offer one of the most complete ranges of automotive interiors testing services in the US mid-west and also brings much-needed additional capacity to this growing market.

Element New Berlin (WI), in partnership with Element Warren (MI), now offers the VOC testing, which complements the existing suite of interiors testing already provided by Element. This continues Element’s efforts to provide a full-service materials and product qualification offering for the automotive interiors supply chain.

John R. Nelson, Element’s Executive Vice President, Transportation and Industrials, comments: “The mid-west US markets have seen an increased demand for VOC testing of automotive interiors. Our response has been to work with our customers and increase New Berlin’s capabilities through investment and the addition of external approvals. As we move into 2016 we will continue to expand our capabilities, infilling crucial new industry methodologies and adding client approvals to meet the testing requirements of our customers.

“Investing in these methodologies and approvals means we can better serve our key clients, offering comprehensive testing for their automotive materials and product qualification testing needs. As the Automotive industry continues its focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation, Element will continue to respond to the demands of our market leading and influential clients to become the most trusted testing partner in the industry.”
