LONDON, UK – March 9, 2016 – Element Materials Technology is to hold its forthcoming seminar, “CE Marking is Changing – What do you need to know?”, on April 22 at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester (UK).

The industry-leading seminar will focus on new CE Marking regulatory changes that are taking place in April 2016, which are the most significant to take place in over 20 years. These changes will have a significant impact on testing for Electromagnetic Capability (EMC), the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Explosive Atmosphere Testing (ATEX), as well heralding the major switch from the Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (R&TTE) to the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) for Radio Technologies.

The EMC and Safety Testing Seminar is the first of a series of seminars which will run across the country throughout the year, culminating in the highlight of the testing industry calendar, Element’s annual Global Testing and Approvals Conference in June. This is the third year that the seminar series has been held and, following past success, it is now considered to be the most pivotal event of its kind for testing and approvals professionals within the UK.

Charles Noall, President and CEO of Element, commented: “The EMC and Safety Testing Seminar is a fantastic opportunity to bring together key industry stakeholders, showcase our market-leading capabilities and demonstrate our strategic approach to servicing clients. To underline our credentials as the best and most trusted testing partner in the world, we design our seminars to be a learning experience for delegates. We understand that there are many technical and commercial challenges in getting products to market and it’s our aim to make sure manufacturers have the knowledge to be able to do that, particularly as the industry transitions to the new CE Marking framework.”

Element’s EMC and Safety Testing seminars provide an unrivalled wealth of relevant technical content, acting as a forum for specialists within the industry to update themselves with changing standards and regulations, and to ensure legislative compliance is achievable. It is also an opportunity for Element’s Engaged Experts to network with OEMs and their supply chain partners.

This seminar will focus on EMC design and testing, the impact to design and certification when adopting wireless or radio technology, general products safety procedures, exporting products, global certification and approvals, as well as optimizing manufacturing and design during testing in light of the important changes to the CE marking directives which will come into effect on April 19 2016. The event will discuss the changes and give guidance on how best to structure testing programs going forward.

Delegates must register in advance and early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
