LONDON, UK – 21 December, 2016 - Element Materials Technology’s Rancho Dominguez laboratory has been awarded the Nadcap accreditation for Computed Radiography. Element Rancho Dominguez is an Aerospace Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection Center of Technical Excellence and becomes the first large scale, independent testing laboratory in the greater Los Angeles area to be granted this important accreditation.

Achieving the best possible result of zero audit findings, the accreditation is further evidence of how Rancho Dominguez is leading the way for the Aerospace NDT industry into the digital future. Computed Radiography has significant benefits over its traditional counterpart saving clients both time and money. The transfer of digital images allows for faster collaboration and the elimination of physical film means that there is no longer a need for clients to pay for the associated shipping and storage costs.

Rick Sluiters, Element’s EVP, Aerospace commented, ''We are extremely proud to receive yet another Nadcap accreditation at our Rancho Dominguez laboratory. Element has one of the highest number of Nadcap-accredited laboratories in the world, demonstrating our continued commitment to becoming the best and most trusted testing partner in the sector.

Not only is Rancho Dominguez the only laboratory in the LA area to gain this particular approval, but this also opens the door for our latest NDT laboratory in Portland to gain the same approval when we go through the accreditation process in early 2017.’’

Element Rancho Dominguez is one of the largest Non-Destructive testing facilities in the USA, supporting some of the world’s leading companies in the Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive sectors as well as a large number of other industrial companies that operate on the West Coast of the USA and around the world.
