LONDON, UK – November 13, 2017 - Element Materials Technology is pleased to announce that it has completed the formal rebranding and integration of TEAMS (Testing and Engineering of Aeronautical Materials and Structures) S.L., significantly strengthening its European Aerospace materials testing presence. Acquired in May 2017, the integration strengthens Element’s capabilities in destructive and non-destructive materials testing services, engineering advisory services, structural testing services and vibration testing services for both metals and advanced materials.

A spin-off from the University of Seville, TEAMS is one of the few laboratories in Europe with the capacity and approval to carry out testing of major components for the aerospace sector and is a Tier 1 supplier to Airbus. This facility holds Nadcap accreditation for non-metallic materials testing (NMMT), metallic materials testing (MTL) and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Rick Sluiters, EVP Aerospace, Element, commented: ‘’We are delighted to formally welcome TEAMS to the Element Group. Over the last few years we have invested heavily in growing our aerospace testing presence in Europe, including the acquisitions of Exova, NDT Limited in Sheffield and the materials testing (MT) laboratories of DNV GL in Germany, alongside the relocation of our Sheffield laboratory to a new state-of-the art facility. These investments mean that we are now able to provide our aerospace customers and suppliers with a single source provider for both materials testing and non-destructive testing services across Europe.

The addition of TEAMS, yet another Nadcap accredited laboratory, demonstrates our commitment to deliver certainty to our clients by offering a complete range of testing and inspection services approved to the very highest levels of excellence.’’

Element is the number one provider of aerospace testing services in the world, with 43 laboratories located in the Americas and Europe, that provide a comprehensive range of materials testing, product qualification testing and calibration services for the industry. With 29 Nadcap accredited laboratories, the highest of any independent materials testing company in the world, services include metallographic evaluations; fatigue and fracture toughness testing; creep and stress rupture testing; non-destructive testing; EMI/EMC testing; and hydraulics and pneumatics.
