London, UK – July 25, 2019 – Element Materials Technology (Element) and the Equipment Qualification Services Alliance (EQSA) partners are hosting an equipment and materials qualification technical conference on September 18, 2019 at the University of Bristol.

This free event will provide opportunities to discuss existing design and testing process improvements with experienced industry professionals and experts. It will focus on the key issues and areas affecting operators and the supply chain when planning the qualification of materials, components, and systems in the nuclear industry. Discussion topics will cover the strategic planning and programming of equipment qualification (EQ) tests; seismic and irradiation testing; and electrical, control, and instrumentation (EC&I) smart device testing.

Speakers at the event will include: Gavin Smith from the Office for Nuclear Regulation on ‘Regulatory Perspective on EQ’; Richard McLaren, EQ lead for the HPC project; Alan Poole from Wood on ‘Qualification of smart devices/EC&I’; and many more.

Delegates will learn from live, on-site testing demonstrations; updates on the latest standards, regulation changes, and best practice; and Q&A sessions with industry experts.
