Element Appoints Rob Tawil to Accelerate Growth Across Asia and The Middle East
London, UK – 1 May 2026: Element Materials Technology (“Element”), one of the world’s leading providers of testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services, today announced the appointment of seasoned TIC leader Rob Tawil as Vice President, Asia, strengthening leadership across its Built Environment business in Asia as well as the Middle East.
Based in Singapore and reporting into Jason Dodds, who leads Element’s Built Environment division globally, Rob will oversee operations across the two fast‑growing regions, driving a more integrated approach to strategy and customer delivery.
As part of the new structure, Francisco Ramalheira, Divisional Director for the Middle East, will report into Rob while continuing to lead day‑to‑day operations across the region, based in Dubai.
Rob joins Element with more than 25 years’ international leadership experience in the TIC sector, the majority of which was spent working in Asia, Australia and the Middle East. He joins Element from Bureau Veritas, where he spent the past 11 years, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer within its Fuels division. Prior to this, he held senior commercial and operational leadership roles at both Intertek and SGS.
