LONDON, UK – January 7th, 2016 – Element Materials Technology has completed the relocation and expansion of its Antwerp facility, further strengthening its presence in the North European Oil & Gas sector for its key clients in Belgium and in other French-language speaking markets within Europe.

This latest investment has added significant capacity to the laboratory that will enable Element to deliver improvements to lead times and reductions in turnaround times for its clients by as much as two days. The new facility also has significant potential for further expansion.

This start-of-the-art facility is fully accredited by the Belgian Accreditation Organization, BELAC. It conducts testing to European standards including NEN-EN-ISO/IEC17025 and Euronorm, in addition to many international testing standards including AWS, ASTM and API.

The move demonstrates Element’s continued commitment to the Oil & Gas Majors and their supply chain partners located in Europe. Element’s growing Global platform allows clients in the Oil & Gas sector to leverage comprehensive expertise including leading fracture mechanics capabilities at Element Breda (Netherlands), sour service capabilities at Element Amsterdam (Netherlands) and the recently announced Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) services (Aberdeen, UK and Houston, TX).

Rod Martin, Element’s Executive Vice President, Oil & Gas, comments: “We are constantly investing in our Oil & Gas sector facilities in order to deliver continual improvements to our services. At Element Antwerp we now share premises with a number of other industry supply chain partners, allowing us to better serve our mutual clients through significantly reduced lead times. This latest investment further demonstrates our ongoing commitment to becoming the best and most trusted testing partner in the sector.”
