Experience
Clayton Forbes is the Technical Director for the Product Qualification Testing (PQT) team at Element, supporting a network of over 20 testing locations across the US and Canada. With more than 43 years of experience, he has led major qualification efforts across the nuclear, aerospace, military, commercial, transportation, and telecommunications sectors.
Clayton began his career in 1981 at NTS performing seismic tests for the nuclear industry before expanding into military and aerospace qualification in 1993. He served as Director of Operations at NTS for six years prior to Element’s acquisition and was appointed Technical Director in 2023.
He has held leadership roles in standards development, including serving as Chair and Vice‑Chair of the ATIS NPP Committee. He has contributed to revisions of GR‑63‑CORE and MIL‑STD‑810E and has published several articles on NEBS and ETSI telecom testing.
