With a wealth of experience exceeding 20 years, Dr. He has demonstrated expertise in sour corrosion testing, electrochemistry, material selection, and analytical method development.

In his role as the Corrosion and Coating Laboratory Manager at Element Houston-Yorktown, Jie leverages his extensive knowledge to spearhead the growth of a world-class sour corrosion and polymer coating laboratory, oversee and execute diverse technical service projects focused on evaluating the corrosion and cracking resistance of materials, and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify and cultivate new project opportunities.

Throughout his career, Dr. He has led diverse initiatives, including managing a joint industrial program on H2S serviceability limits of Martensitic stainless steels in oil and gas production. He has provided technical expertise in polymer physical chemistry, corrosion, electrochemistry, analytical method development, and material characterization.

Jie has also synthesized, formulated, and characterized corrosion inhibition coatings. Notably, he played a crucial role in establishing a comprehensive structure-morphology-properties relationship. Additionally, he contributed significantly by designing, building, and validating high-throughput methods for the evaluation of polymer coatings.
