Scott manages Element’s Building Systems Laboratory in Toronto, specializing in building systems testing, fenestration evaluation, wall and roof assemblies, and thermal modeling.
Experience
Scott joined Element in 2016 as a Fenestration Testing Technician and has since developed extensive experience in the evaluation and performance testing of wall systems, commercial roofing assemblies, and fenestration products. As Technical Manager, Building Systems & Components, he oversees the operations of the Building Systems Laboratory at Element Toronto, working collaboratively with clients to design customized testing programs and provide guidance for complex building envelope systems.
In his role as NFRC Simulator‑in‑Responsible‑Charge, Scott performs detailed energy and thermal modeling of fenestration systems, including site‑specific analyses and code‑compliance evaluations. He also contributes to the development of fenestration standards through active participation in technical discussions and industry initiatives.
