Toronto Oakville - Fire Testing & Building Science
About Element Toronto Oakville - Fire Testing & Building Science Laboratory
Element Toronto - Oakville is an ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory within the Greater Toronto Area. The facility brings together two specialist disciplines under one roof: Building Science and Fire Testing.
Our Building Science capabilities serve architects, engineers, manufacturers and consultants looking to evaluate and push the boundaries of construction product design and performance. Materials testing, building envelope assessment, fenestration, structural evaluation and fire-rated component testing are all available — delivering the independent, accurate data needed to meet obligations across every project stage.
Our Fire Testing services are nationally recognised for the evaluation of material and system behaviour to national and international fire safety standards. The behaviour of a burning object in a developing fire directly impacts how easily people can escape from the scene. Even when reaction to fire testing is not required under regulations, a relevant insurer or authority may request improvements to fire performance — making testing essential. Our reaction to fire testing services not only deepen a manufacturer's knowledge of their product, but provide a competitive advantage by demonstrating superior fire safety credentials.
The laboratory holds a broad portfolio of accreditations and industry memberships, including CCMC, ICC-ES, ABAA, AAMA, CSA, Miami-Dade, IGMA/IGCC, NFRC, BIFMA, ISTA, HVI, EIFS Council of Canada, SRCC, CAL FIRE and CPSC Approved Testing Laboratory status.
We work with a clear understanding of your needs to balance quality with speed of delivery and cost-efficiency, ensuring you can continue to meet your project obligations and commitments.
