Element is hosting its final seminar of the year with the “Radio Compliance Seminar 2018” on 14 November at the Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridge, UK.

150 industry engineers and manufacturers are expected to attend the free, one-day training event, which will cover a range of insightful topics, discussing updates and changes to radio testing, key EMC and safety updates for radio products, and requirements for international product approval beyond the EU.

Since the launch of the Radio Equipment Directive in 2016, an ongoing lack of harmonized standards has made correct implementation confusing. This session will address critical questions that design engineers, quality compliance and test program managers must be aware of.

As a Notified Body and leading UK test house, Element will share its knowledge on regulatory compliance requirements and on making test, approval and certification programs cost and time effective. The day will include training sessions, Q&A sessions with the Engaged Expert presenters and networking opportunities with industry peers.

The event will be chaired by Engaged Expert Simon Barrowcliff, Chair of UK IEC Conformity Assessment Board and UK IECEE mirror committees and Chair of the UK ATEX Notified Body Group. Proceedings will kick off with presentations by leading industry experts who will address core issues such as the key aspects that manufacturers need to focus on for the EU, USA and global market access as well as the latest updates on the EMC Directive and EMC for radio.

Rick Sluiters, EVP Aerospace, commented: “This event provides a fantastic forum for industry experts to network with our engaged experts who lead in the fields of product testing, certification and global market access services. It is a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and guidance to help minimize risk, while also saving time in getting your product to market resulting in a faster return on your investment.”
