AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – March 10, 2014 – Element Materials Technology’s laboratory in Cincinnati, OH, has expanded the scope of its biomedical and medical device testing capabilities to meet growing customer demand. The laboratory, whose clients include Arthrex, Biomet, DePuy Synthes, and Zimmer, has also invested in new equipment and appointed a recognized expert to the newly-created role of Medical Device Program Manager to head up a dedicated division of medical testing professionals.

Element Cincinnati’s comprehensive suite of medical testing now encompasses elemental analysis and mechanical, environmental, contaminant and pathogen testing of metallic and polymeric materials and devices. The rapid expansion of capabilities has been assisted by the sharing of knowledge across Element’s international platform of laboratories, with Cincinnati particularly benefiting from the expertise of colleagues at Element New Berlin and Element Daleville, formerly part of the Sherry Laboratories group acquired by Element in 2013.

Representatives from each of the three facilities will be exhibiting together at this year’s annual meeting held by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) in New Orleans, LA, taking place from March 11-14th. Element will offer delegates insight into how recently expanded capabilities offer greater risk analysis for surgeons assessing orthopedic products.

Element Materials Technology will be exhibiting at booth 467. For more details, visit www.aaos.org.
